Some crypto coin are bought at pre-sale or on pre-listing, from the token website.
Pre-sale is almost the same as launchpads, most of this crypto coin are sold at a discounted price and on listing profit is 95% of the time guaranteed.
Let's say a coin at 20% discount that was sold at $0.8 and listed after like 8days at $1, that is a 20% profit for anyone that participated in the trade.
Some exchange like Binance will demand you hold their token for some number of days to enable you to be part of the pre-sale.
Binance has one of the best form of launchpads if you have as many BNB as possible then you will definitely be part of their pre-sale, but this demands a lot of capital between $1500 to $3000 (depends on the current price of BNB).
And at other times Binance will require members to farm the new token using another token. Most of the time, the token used are BNB or BUSD or if it is a FAN token CHZ or CHR are used to farm the new token. This in turn helps the owner to hold this token used for farming longer than necessary.
Some other exchange will need you to commit a particular amount of your money to the new token and in turn give you the new token then old your old token for a certain number of days. Some exchange may leverage that the account owner should have at least 500usdt or more in their wallet, to be able to be part of it.
Launchpads are sure winners as they can guarantee 95% of winning and profit, some launchpads can give you as much as 2x or more of your initial investment. It varies.
While PRIMARY LISTING on the other hand, this is when a coin listed for the first time on a CEX or Exchange, there by causing votality on the coin, price pump as a result of many holders, because the coin will be exposed to new traders at large. Another factor for primary listing is the number of token supply of the coin, if in thousands, millions or billions or trillion of the supply. Coins with less supply tends to produce better result.
