I started writing online on a site called Online Book Club. The site had a stringent policy when it comes to grammar and grammatical errors. If they find 4 errors in your article, they score you 0 for grammar and that would negatively affect your reviewer score. I think I scored mostly 0s in my first 20 articles there even when I was using an online grammar checker. Being from Nigeria, I struggled with grasping the grammar issues. I searched and searched the net. I came across various apps and sites but none could help me till I found Grammarly.
At first, I didn't understand how it worked. I had to go and read and re-read about how it works. I was able to find my way around it and with it, I scored several 100%s on grammar assessments on that site. I think it is the best grammar checker for bloggers and writer
