In our culture the morning bread is called pandesal from the Spanish word pan which means bread and sal which means salt. In the city people are bread eaters for breakfast so you can imagine that the bakery or bakeshop is astir in the early morning. Most of the small bakery shops here sell the morning bread only. After 8 am they close shop and probably do another business.
In our residential village there are 4 bakery shops and 2 sell only the morning bread. The owner said that they earn good profit and the work is not much since the chore is from 4 am up to 8 am only. That’s only 4 hours and the earning is equivalent to a day’s work in other type of business. Maybe in the near future I would also have my own bakeshop because it is a good occupation and as they say, you can never lose in a bakeshop.
