The tendency to incorporate blockchains or NFTs into online games isn't going away anytime soon. According to a study released this week by blockchain network Stratis and research firm Opinium, 58 percent of the 197 game developers studied in the United States and the United Kingdom are beginning to use blockchain features in their videogames.However, according to the study, 48% of these game makers use NFTs in their creations.

Some of the major video game companies, such as EA, feel that all these technological advances will be a feature of the industry's future. More than 70% of respondents have said they will explore employing these capabilities for new games in the future, with 56% expecting to do this in the next 12 months, according to the study.
