If you want be at the positive side at every business deals, you should first do your homework, make reasonable research about your business counterparts. You should know their needs and aim. You should also conclude on your goal and top priority. You should give listen ears so you don't quickly conclude over nothing or lose vital information. Be flexible and open to new ideas as much as you would want to stay on course. Be respectful and create a win-win solution or suggestion. You should ensure to build a long lasting relationship.

When you are sitting on the negotiation table, you have to be strategic and balanced. That is not the time for you to be excited because if you are, you would lose out. You have to carry your own aces at the back of your mind. Don't make the other party know that you are projecting your own interests majorly.

Accommodate their own interests. Project how much the proposal you are making is going to favour them. Stay true to your goals for that negotiation. Present established facts and figures to show your proposal is sound and workable.
