As a business owner, you instantly become the CEO or manager of your business. But you should not be under the illusion that you neither need years of experience to get a promotion nor do you need to satisfy your superiors to get a salary hike. In fact, you will not get the opportunity to work from the top; initially, you need to move forward like a common employee.
But that doesn't mean you don't have to work under stress or do a job you don't like. The owner has to do most of the work in the business so that there is no mess, and if there is, then he/ she can take immediate action and handle it.
It doesn't even mean that. All successful businessmen have built their empires by starting small, like Jeff Bezos, who started the Amazon empire by starting a bookstore in the garage of his house.
