Longer life, better health. What could be more important than that?

A lot of people would argue that it's not a choice at all. that you're born with a certain number of years, and that's that. But we think there's a lot you can do to make sure those years are healthy and happy ones.

Let's take a look at some of your options:

1. Exercise regularly for 30 minutes per day or more, including strength training.

2. Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, whole grains, lean sources of protein like fish or skinless chicken breast (no red meat), and low-fat dairy products like skim milk and yogurt.

3. Get 7-9 hours of sleep on a regular schedule every night (ideally going to bed around 10pm).

4. Drink plenty of water every day. Drinking water makes your skin look more youthful, helps flush toxins out of your system, and keeps you feeling full until your next meal.

5. Eat breakfast every morning (and have a protein shake if you work out first). Breakfast helps keep your metabolism running at top speed, which means you'll burn fat and calories more efficiently during the day.
