If you're thinking about becoming a virtual assistant and finding paying clients, it might feel like you have to a lot to figure out. For instance, you might be confused about where to start looking for work. First things first, being a virtual assistant isn't just one type of job. If you are hired as a writer, you write, if you are hired as a graphic designer, you do graphic designing. However, being a virtual assistant can cover a lot of different tasks like from writing emails and articles or social media posts to designing graphics, posters, marketing materials, to provide customer support. Thus, it is a good idea to learn skills in different areas so you have more options for getting hired. I have been working as a virtual assistant for a long time. I have worked as a social media manager, website manager, customer support, content creator for a lot of individuals and companies. If you want to try this career field, you need to build skills in multiple areas. A writer writes, a designer designs, a programmer writes codes, but virtual assistant does a variety of tasks. Therefore for improving chances of getting hired, you need to build skills in multiple niches. You will then have to start selling services through freelance markets
