There is no need for the case of ghost workers in the first place if the manager is competent. Workers should be employed based on the job requirements. If a manager employe the exact nunber of workers needed for a job, then there may not be any case of ghost workers.

Well, sometimes the owner might not be around and leave the business to be managed by other. So everything down to payment is being handled by others. So the owner need to ascertain that every payment made to workers at the end of the month are to real workers. These points listed can help detect that.

Identifying ghost workers requires careful record keeping and thorough analysis. Compare employee attendance records with job growth to identify discrepancies. Use biometric systems or digital authentication to verify employee attendance. Conduct a sophisticated audit to ensure that all registered employees are actually present and actively contributing to the organization. Look for irregularities such as duplicate or inactive accounts. Encourage whistleblowers to report suspicious activity and maintain a culture of open communication. By implementing these systems, organizations can better identify and address past employee fraud.

The best way to fish out ghost workers is to do a physical verification and join a biometric verification. A biometric verification would completely expose those ghost workers and their antics. And put it as a policy that anyone that doesn't do the biometric verification won't be paid. It would lead to expose the ghost workers scam. You can double up with forensic investigation to see who put the ghost workers into the payroll and let them face the law.
