You have been expecting a pay raise by your employer. it finally comes but it Is below your expectations. You don't need to fight or cause any stir. There is a better way to handle it and you would do better that way. Below are the steps to take to bring the matter to the notice of your employer.
1.Start by writing a letter of appreciation to your Boss for the recognition you have received and for the pay raise.
2. Next, is to meet with your employer physically. To discuss why you didn't receive the appropriate pay raise that you think you deserve
3. Humbly tell your Boss you believe some adjustments should be made to compensate you more for your efforts. Avoid the urge to brag that you are more than the pay.
4. Don't expect it to be done immediately. Wait a little longer while you continue to prove your worth.
5. if you are yet to get any positive response. Humbly again revisit the issue with your Boss.
