Protecting the data that your business collects, stores and uses is crucial to ensuring that you can keep up with growth.

Your business has probably already had to deal with one or more security breaches, but if you're taking steps to protect your data and systems, then you're already ahead of the game.

Here are some tips on how to keep your applicant and employee data secure:

Encrypt all sensitive data in transit and at rest. This means encrypting files on a server, encrypting database backups and using secure protocols when transmitting information over the Internet such as email or Google Docs. It also means encrypting files on removable media such as USB drives or hard drives. Using a third-party encryption solution can help ensure that your data is protected from prying eyes - even if someone manages to get their hands on it somehow.

Create multiple user accounts for each application. Each account should have its own password, but only one person should be able to access any given application at a time (for example, an admin user with system administrator privileges). This practice helps prevent mistakes from being made by users who forget their passwords or are not familiar with how applications work. It also helps prevent unauthorized access by hackers who use automated tools.
