Like the usual sayings, you only know when you get employed but can't say for leaving the job. The truth is that a good buying job can come to an end abruptly. So it is like always preparing for the worse.
But the worse is always glaring when your workplace is undergoing a recession. You know for sure that your job is on the line. While you hope for the best. There are also little things you would need to do to prevent it from. happening.
Add more value to your position: Recession hits more on redundant and less valuable staff. if you are being retained. So your best to show your worth.
Be the hope for your employer; Let the Boss see you as one person that your position would be badly affected if you leave. It is like a vacuum that can't be filled by another.
Reappraise your Skills and see where you can apply it to help the company to rise above what is pulling it down.
