How to reduce sick leave abuse in the work place

Humans are just fond of taking a mile when allowed to take few steps. This is why it is good to be alert to attitudes exhibited by your employees to curb their excesses and abuses. Some staff will want to abuse an opportunity like the sick leave permission. But you need to he fair but firm when this.

So how can you reduce this abuse in the workplace

1. Request that the employees turn up for work with their doctor's report to prove they were really sick


2. Have a policy where the sick staff takes formal permission to go away for sick leave. No one have to up and go for sick leave without any permission

3. The staff should be given when to return to work to avoid the absence interfering with the productivity ofthe company.

The company should have an inhouse doctor that can examined the staff to ascertain such a staff need a sick leave.

I quite understand your point of view on this regard. it is very important to note that thr particular sick leave that you're talking about is always overdo by the employees. what they do basically is that they would take that sick leave without being sick or it may just be a pretence to be absent at work and if this continue incessantly, it is going to affect the smooth running of the business. That is why it is very important for the employer to put in place certain measures to curb this . the question is how do you curb such case? Now, you curb such case by providing an hospital that staffs can treat themselves so that you can keep track of employees that are not actually sick . You can also get the service of a doctor that will be treating the staffs at work. This is probably a very good solution to what we talking about . If all these things are not put in place, the incessant absenteeism by the employees will continue at an alarming rate and if care is not taken, it is going to affect the smooth running of the business in a great way.
