We go to schools and college of education to have a good degree on a particular career, job, or business specification in life. But to some extent it can be said that academic performance or academic background, is totally not a guarantee to establish a successful business but instead you need individual to individual tutoring and practical shown knowledge to be able to be a successful business manager or a successful business employer. In my own view and perspective, it is totally necessary that an individual engage him or herself in the practical aspect of business before he or she establishes this one. Basically what I mean is that, if an individual for example want to establish a bread factory someday, he or she most definitely file or work as an apprentice or a novice for an expert or an experienced individual who already owns and manages a bread factory. If his or her request of being an apprentice or novice is accepted, that can totally be a great medium for him or her to learn a great deal of knowledge on how to run and manage a bread factory.

It is often said that practice makes perfect, and for you to be perfected and successful in the kind of business you intend establishing you must have practical knowledge about it. Academic background and performance isn't actually enough to establish a business and that is because most school of education and tertiary institutions are not quite good in teaching their students the practical aspects, instead they are only taught the theoretically aspect of business lessons.

The short answer is no, academic background is not a guarantee to establish a successful business. There are many successful entrepreneurs who do not have an academic background in business, such as Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and Oprah Winfrey.

There are many factors that contribute to the success of a business. An academic background in business can provide the fundamentals of business, such as accounting, finance, and marketing, but it is not a guarantee of success. It is important to have the right combination of knowledge, experience, and passion to truly make a business successful.

Experience is just as important as academic background. Having the right experience allows entrepreneurs to gain insight into the industry, understand consumer needs, and develop the necessary skills to run a successful business. Having a mentor or advisor who has experience in the industry can be extremely helpful for entrepreneurs who do not have an academic background.

The most important factor in any business is passion. Having a passion for the industry and a desire to succeed can be a powerful motivator. Entrepreneurs should also have strong leadership and communication skills to be successful.

In conclusion, academic background is not a guarantee of success in business, but it can provide the fundamentals that are necessary to understand the business world.

Academic background in a particular field is never a guarantee that you would be able to run a successful business in that field. All you need is a good understanding of the operations of that business and a sound mentor in that field that would show you the ropes. With that, you would build a successful business in that field.

I don't think Donald Trump has an academic qualification in Estate Management but he has been able to build a successful real estate empire. I know of many contractors that own civil engineering firms who are not engineers themselves. You can always employ those that have academic qualifications in that field to handle the technical side of things.

Sometimes though, it can make sense if you are a professional in that area with an academic background too. It gives you a clearer perspective of things as a businessman. It is not necessary to have academic qualifications to be successful in business. It can be advantageous though.

You have actually answered the question, having a strong educational background is not a guarantee that you would succeed. I have come across graduates who are jobless or simply rely on others to feed, while there are some who had to pick up taxi driving and other small paying jobs. I have also seen does without any educational background make good money. In the end this is not to say having a certificate is not important or needed. There are certain places you cannot feel like you belong no matter the amount of wealth you have, unless you have a soiled educational background.

It is totally true that majority of business institutions in Nigeria do not teach their students practical way of business activities and administration but instead they only teach their students theoretical method of handling business. Business training and administration as well as management isn't completed until the student is able to practically see how business is being managed established and also administrated. That is why when an individual graduates from schools of education in business in countries like Nigeria, he or she is still expected to do more by learning from an expert who practically owns a business so that from time to time he or she can learn how business is being managed and also operated.

Business operation totally makes sense when the business is being managed and controlled by a qualified individual who is totally experienced in all matters of business and can definitely handle any problem or challenges that may emanate in the process of the business management and administration.
