According to their Q1 2022 financial release, MicroStrategy, a US-based software business that is the world's largest Bitcoin holder, has around 129,218 BTC. MicroStrategy announced on September 30 that they are hiring for a Bitcoin Lightning software developer to help them construct a Lightning Network-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. The purpose of MicroStrategy is to solve cybersecurity challenges while also opening up new e-commerce application scenarios.
The Lightning Network is a Bitcoin Layer 2 technology whose purpose is to accelerate the process of sending payments through the blockchain.
