Polygon raised $450 million in a fundraising campaign

Polygon , an ethereum compatible platform raised $450 million in a fundraising campaign that was spearheaded by an Indian conglomerate called the Sequoia Capital India. The fundraising was done alongside other establishments and it was a resounding success.

"Web3 builds on the open-source concepts of the early Internet, allowing users to create value, control the network, and reap the benefits. In a prepared statement, Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal stated, "Ethereum, scaled by Polygon, will be the backbone of this next stage in the Web's evolution

The web3 may be faced with challenges but the stakeholders in the app development globally would be of help to making it a success.

Shailesh Lakhani, managing director of Sequoia Capital India, also affirmed that the project will be a success. She explained that Polygon is the choice for apps developers on the ethereum blockchain.


This fundraising round comes on the heels of the announcement that Ryan Wyatt, the former head of YouTube's gaming division, will join the scaling solution as CEO of Polygon Studios, the company's gaming and NFT division.

The Polygon as shown to be reliable platform for applications development on the ethereum blockchain. The innovations integrated on the platform made it possible for easy navigation around the ethereum blockchain.
