Writing is a skill that helps a person to document persuasions. It is an artistic skill to be able to string words together to make sense and communicate your intentions. With the advent of the internet, there is a rise in freelance writers who work remotely. They are not committed to any organization. They get jobs from a lot of organizations and deliver them. One major advantage of being a freelance writer is that it frees you up to engage with lots of organizations and earn as much as your ability. Writing for a particular organization would confine you and limit your earning potential.
Also, writing on a freelance level challenges and engages you to work harder as you might be taking lots of jobs and striving to meet up with datelines. On the other hand, freelance writing would not help you become an authority in a particular niche. You would be writing about several things and this will not help you to master any niche.
