If you are a film maker they are many ways to make money apart from selling your movies. You can get your hands in different pies as you keep producing movies.

So what other ways can you make money.

You can shot commercials for those that need it and even feature in it as a known face for more money.

You can teach others film making for a fee. people are always ready to learn film making if you are good.

Get into a good deal with another film house to distribute your movies. you would have been able to widen your network using this method.

Be a content creator on YouTube. You have the equipment already. So find a niche to concentrate on.

Shoot other events or occasion for a fee. You have the exposure and the equipment already. Advertise your skills on freelance sites to start getting jobs.

What do you do as a filmmaker? Are you a producer, are you a director, are you a script writer, are you cameraman, are you an editor? Filmmakers have so many roles to play, however, you can use your every role to make money. A producer can produce a movie and make money by selling movie rights, or selling movie tickets. A director can direct movies and get paid from the producer, a scriptwriter, editor, cameraman etc. can sell their skills and make money. Teaching film making is another way to make money. However, in order to make money through the methods I just mentioned you need to be exceptionally talented and you need a lot of connection in the movie industry to hire you. Youtubing can be great, but youtubing is not only about making a video and publishing on the platform, it is also about marketing, SEO and the things like that.

Well, I was particular about the film makers which is the producer that have the equipment at their disposal that there are other jobs you can do aside making videos. You can make money off the camera you have.

YouTube need a channel with very good edited videos, bright videos with a good thumbnail will always attract the viewers and if your content is valuable, they will subscribe. So money can be made here by a video producer.

Again, a film maker can edit other films for a fee since you can do same for your own videos why don't do same for other videos and make good money off it.

In this age and time it is no longer ideal to just depend on a source of income that you can do better with other sources. So it will be good to look out for othet sources that are related to make money.
