As I said in my last thread, this thread will be talking about another characteristic of animals which is "Animals have babies".
All living creatures make new living things like themselves. They reproduce. Every baby animals come from a grown-up animal like itself. For example,a baby penguin comes from a penguin, a baby horse comes from a horse,a baby beetle comes from a beetle.
Animal babies are born in different ways, some baby animals come right out of the mother's body. Horse are born this way so are cats,monkeys,whales and some snakes and so are people, as we all know people are classified as higher animals.
Some baby animals hatch out of eggs that come from the mother's body. Example of such animals are penguins so are beetles,frogs and most fish.
Many animals do not look after their babies after they are born, for example frogs and toad and many kinds of fish lay their eggs and let the babies take care of themselves. Other animal stays with their babies for a long time. Example of such animals are birds, some birds teach their babies to fly. Also many mammals teach their young to hunt for food.
Do you also know any other animal that stay with it's baby for a long time, if yes kindly tell us few things about the animal.
