What happens when an NDIS participant passes away?

The NDIS understands how crucial it is to help family, caregivers, and support systems when someone in their program passes away. They have specialist staff to offer the most effective support during this tough period and who can assist you with any remaining NDIS matters.
'You' here is referring to someone who is a confirmed contact of the participant in the NDIS system and is managing the participant's affairs after their passing. You could be a:
  • spouse
  • nominee
  • parent or child representative
  • court appointed trustee or guardian.
