Cataract is the disease that i can see that its use to disfigure the eye.
Personally when somebody has this ;people used to look at them like a blind person.
The lens of the eye behind the pupil, becomes cloudy, making the pupil look gray or white when you shine a light in it.
Cataracts can still tell light from dark and notice motion, surgery may let him see again. However, he will need strong glasses afterward, which take time to get used to
Medicines do not help cataracts. In some centers that do eye surgery, a plastic lens can be put inside the eye so that strong glasses are not needed.
