Hello,
On June 9, 2021, the Chinese Government has officially banned and closed all types of crypto/Bitcoin mining. As a result of this prohibition on crypto mining, most of the crypto miners flocked to Kazakhstan and the United States (US).

After 11 months since the Chinese government's crypto mining ban, researchers found 21% of the total Bitcoin hashrate came from China, although it has fallen by 42% compared to the figure before the Bitcoin mining ban. The figure of 21% shows a very significant increase in Bitcoin mining from zero (0 EH/s) So that in the near future China will surpass Kazakhstan in producing Bitcoin. It also shows that the Chinese government has failed to ban crypto mining.

The Chinese government has banned cryptocurrencies, both trading, and mining. Although crypto surveillance and bans have increased, many observers think that China has failed to ban Bitcoin mining.
Yes, of course, because the territory of China is very large, so it is too difficult to supervise crypto mining which is considered illegal. Miners can mine Bitcoin in remote and hidden places and they are always on the move.

China did not fail, it is just it couldn't ban something which actually doesn't exists. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, unless China bans cryptography, cryptosystem, it cannot ban cryptocurrency. If China actually wants to ban cryptocurrency, it has to ban crypto, computer, internet, and Maths.

There are plenty of crime, a country cannot control, and it outlawed a harmless technology instead of controlling crime, nevertheless China did without thinking what it is doing.
