It's no secret that money is important. It helps us buy the things we need and enjoy the things we want. But while money is important, it's not everything. In fact, there are times when focusing on making money can actually be counterproductive.
For example, let's say you're an artist. You want to make a living off your art, so you focus on making money. But in the process, you lose sight of your passion and your art suffers as a result. Or let's say you're a stay-at-home parent. You want to make money so you can provide for your family, but you also want to spend time with your children. So you focus on making money and you end up working all the time and never seeing your kids.
There are countless other examples of how focusing on making money can back fire. The point is, money is important but it's not everything. There are times when you need to focus on other things and let the money take care of itself.
