If you are running a business, and if you want to reduce your marketing budget, you need to focus on word-of-mouth marketing.

What exactly is word-of-mouth marketing?

It is a term used for free marketing done by your satisfied customers

If your customers are satisfied with your products and services, they will recommend your products to their friends and family, and they will publically praise your products on public platforms like social media, and this will help you generate sales. Interestingly, they are doing you this for free, they are doing it of their own free will.

You can get word-of-mouth marketing only when you offer

Quality products and services

Consistently delivering the same quality and service over time

Good customer service

A true value for the product and the service

If you want your customer to become free publicists, consider offering the best products and services, offering value, and providing good satisfaction. Your customer should never regret buying from you.

Word of mouth marketing works on something called social proof. Let's say your aunt bought this product, she says to your mother that she bought this product from this company and it is very niche product. Since your mother trusts your aunt, she will buy the product. If she likes the product, she will tell you, you then buy the product. You like the product and you sale with even bigger audience and the sales will happen. Since people trust the people who told them about the product, they will buy the product (provided they need it). Social proof means people believe when they heard from someone in the society, someone they know for real. Everyone knows celebrity gets money to talk about the product, but when common people talk about the product, they talk good things because they know it is good. In order to happen this, you need to build really great product.
