There is no denying that entrepreneurship is a risky proposition. But, as with any risk, there is the potential for great reward. That’s why the government has a role to play in supporting students who wish to pursue entrepreneurship.
The government can do well by providing funding and resources, this would help reduce the risk associated with starting a business. In turn, it can encourage more students to take the plunge into entrepreneurship.
Of course, the government cannot (and should not) shoulder all the responsibility for supporting budding entrepreneurs. Private sector organizations also have a role to play in supporting students who wants to start up their own business venture. But, by working together, the public and private sectors can create an environment that is more supportive of entrepreneurship and, as a result, help more students succeed in their dreams.
