In blogging, niche is basically everything, if your niche has a lot of competition you miss out and if your niche has no any audience, you don't have any audience to read your content.

You have to find a balance, that is what I call a sweet spot, to find a good spot, you should pay attention to keyword research, get on your Google console and take note of the words that people often search about, and actively write them down this will help you tremendously to find the right keyword phrases you should be writing about.

When you write down the keywords and you're sure they have a niche audience, go ahead and run some ads and optimize for clicks answering some questions about the keyword, the number of clicks you garner from those ads are what should inform your decision whether to go ahead to blog in the niche or not.

This is a good way to avoid wasting time, writing content and just hoping people will find your blog, testing is very important in every idea, because without testing you can just be working and working without any goals which can propagate the sunk cost fallacy.
