I am awed by how expensive it is to get good roofing for your house this days. Having spoken to many builders, it is certain that the cost of roofing a house is almost double the cost of the block work from the foundation. I believe that this is the reason we have so many buildings around that have reached the lintel level but are not roofed and completed. I would not want that to be my fate. So I made up my mind that I want to start my building project by roofing first before I do the brickwork.
Is it possible to roof a house without the blockwork being done yet? If it is possible, how do I go about it? Are there possible risk factors in using this approach? I just want to do the hardest part and get it out of my way before I venture into the relatively easier block work.
