I have read a lot of self help books but based on my personal experience, beyond giving you a reading pleasure, these books do not actually help you. You cannot solve your problem by reading these books, you cannot have a peace of mind from these books. The self-help industry makes a lot of money by selling optimism, but if things aren't going well in your life, being optimistic might not make much of a difference. In fact, it could make you feel worse as your situation does not change. However, self help books continue to sell in huge quantities, and you can benefit by writing and publishing self help books.

Self Help is a big industry. You can sell books and courses, you can earn from video content monetization, seminars and webinars. You can make money from self help industry in so many ways. Interestingly, you do not even need originality, you can say the same thing that so many people have already said but only thing required is your presentation skills. If you write books, you need to put the same wine in a new bottle, if you create videos, you need to tell your story in an interesting way.
