Making money online has seemed to be a rampant way to earn a living these days but the hurtful thing about it is the fact that there are some actual problems one tends to encounter in which they are uncalled for but it just looks like it a must or let me say it is starting to become a normal thing which is not supposed to be so.
Some of them are;

1. You will be seen as a fraudster
2. You will be misjudged

1. You will be seen as a fraudster: Due to the high rate of fraud activities that is becoming to be a usual thing amongst the youths these day has made the police to see everyone as a fraudster which is not supposed to be so, Once you are seen or known for always being on your phone and you make income from it, you will be assumed to be defrauding the foreign people which is commonly known in this country as “yahoo yahoo”.

2. You will be misjudged:
There is nothing you can say to convince people, as long as you make money online, you are automatically seen as a rich man, they wouldn’t understand how much you make or how hard you have to work to make the money.

This is actually true, in fact i couldn’t agree more any Nigerian in this forum will perfectly understand this particular point of view, everyone that works online will be assumed to be an online scammer without even caring to ask the person first to find out. Well I do not blame them though, it is poor state of the country’s economy that makes people think that way, it has come to the point whereby average Nigerian youths believe that one can’t make it legally except you go dirty or illegal which is not true, but the thought is like a disease and it spreading around

@Mandy96 excellent comment, it's really crazy in this country online business is demonized, you can't really stay indoors, look nice, use an expensive phone and people will let you be. Right from your neighbours you'll be attracting cold stares like you've got to explain what you're doing indoors because everyone think you're doing Fraud, sometimes even your family don't want to believe you, but it's okay, you have to learn to stop giving them attention and ignore what ever they say but never change who you are because of what others will say.

This is the main reason youths did the endsars campaign but still this thing still lingers

That's the case in the country we live in. If you are making money online you would be seen as a "Gee boy",as the terminology always go lol. The issue is that, many people don't believe you can make money on the internet being legit. They think the internet has to do with fraud. And it's cos they don't actually know what the internet entails.

Well this is true and it is not something for me to be so surprised,because even Here a lot of people considered making money online to involve the act of scamming people, but that is not always the truth because they fail to understand that there are legit ways for which people can make money online, we have a lot of challenges when it comes into online business such as location limitation and some other factors.. even with this there are a lot of ways you can still make money online as a Nigerian legitimately without being task as a scammer but you also need to try and be honest with people you are dealing with

This pathetically true
It has the capacity of crippling our motivation to look for greener pastures in this virtual space.
However, it is our duty to help them understand that the world is gradually transforming to digital
