When job hunting, one thing is to submit your resume another is to do a follow up. it is always necessary to adopt this act as it could be a big saving grace for you.

Doing a follow-up after a resume submission is about calling, emailing or even sending a note after submitting your job application to the recruiters or would be employer.

It is important to do this as it would help you to remind the employers that you are still waiting for a response.

Another need is that it would help encourage them to review your application as you keep reaching out to them

Whenever a person tries for a job, after submitting his resume as called for by the employer concerned, he should always follow up with the company concerned if that is possible. Otherwise, he has to wait till he hears something from the employer. Only thing is that such follow up should be carried out in a gentle and polite manner. The employer should not get annoyed or agitated at your frequent calls. Behavior is very important in dealing with such issues.

Following up is one of the great way you can help your job application and might end up getting you the job depending on how good you're, I think online application is a threat to the follow-up culture, because when you apply online it is hard to track the HR.

It is important to make your application stand out and package it well, with all the necessary credentials, this will help you when following up, because your application stands out.

If you send out a lot of job applications it will help to keep records to be able to schedule a follow up after.
