Why Governments Need to Create Businesses to Curb Unemployment

Unemployment is a major problem everywhere. In the United States, the current unemployment rate s 5.5 percent, whereas in India it is 7.9 percent. The world’s highest unemployment rate is in Burkina Faso (77 percent), Syria (50 percent), and Senegal (48 percent). The data is provided by statista.com

In the countries where there is a low unemployment rate, the government may not be required to do anything as unemployment is mostly related to immigration; however, in the countries where unemployment is very high, governments need to create work opportunities to curb unemployment, for example, the government might launch a business and the business will create a lot of job opportunities. Governments can establish industry to create work opportunities for their citizens.

There are two benefits of creating businesses and industries, one they will boost the economy, two the citizens will be employed.

The government need to find permanent solution to this issue of unemployment because without solution it will leads to a lot of problem in the country.
Unemployment in the country will leads to crime, rubbery and kidnapping of people in exchange for money. But if there is no unemployment or its reduce there will be no much problem.

Unemployment has been the major issues plaguing most countries but I would rather say it affects third world countries more than the frontiers. In my country, unemployment has caused different kinds of crimes, which are yet to be solved. And the government is not really doing much to solve the problem. Now, people are migrating to some bigger countries with employment opportunities.

To be honest, it is not government job to be providing building companies for employment creation except it is in socialist or communist state. In a capitalist state like the USA, government only needs to create an enabling society and conducive environment with good policies that will make businesses thrive and not to create employment.

Government is responsible for the welfarism of her citizens though not the primary motive. A country who doesn't provide the necessary things to engage the youth in productivity will end up regretting. Governemnt should empower the youth and alow them to use their incentives as you opined in order to generate employment.

It is a sad thing that the government are more concerned about what they are to get than what they should do for the country. This is indeed something very painful as the money meant for the citizens is being used for personal benefit

Unemployment is simply not food for mankind's life. The government needs to create job opportunities engage every citizen doing tasks and earning from it. Then enroll other individuals into skill acquisition, so they'll learn skills and help to create magnificent things that will improve the country positively, in return curb unemployment rate and also the growing crime rate.

Unemployment is really biting harder in our country.A lot of stranded graduate yet to to get a job though a lot of people engage in menial jobs to sustain but our government need to see to this issue of unemployment that has been rocking the society for the past decades.drastic measures should be taken to avoid crime of youth every time.

Definitely, the truth is that the government knows this but not just want to do anything of sort. I noticed that when they are campaigning to be in power they talk about this but when they get in the story changes. Just greedy set of people. They need to do the right things

I am not sure of the date but I think it was Eisenhower as US president when unemployment was very high. The government hired diggers to dig a long ditch. The work is in the morning only so the diggers earned half a day of wage. In the afternoon another batch of workers will put back the soil on the ditches. They did that for many days just to create employment.

This was happened in India too, but since the Modi government took place, such digging is no longer in work, instead people are provided with some real work, like digging for canal, planting & gardening, children care, helping staff in small offices and other things. Such jobs are result oriented with fixed pay.

Apparently, I think needs to find an everlasting solution to unemployment problem in the country, just as you have said. A lot of people who are graduate don't jobs.....There are so many people on the street who are just living their lives for nothing, they hardly survive each day. Don't you think those people won't eventually go into crimes.???

If I may answer this humanly ; I will say most of them will surely engage in crime because government do not fill concern about this at all. And most of this country do not still allowed those one that wanted to in to crytocurrency business by banning them. Its very saddened.

Seriously, I think the government is selfish .They don't care about the citizens, and cryptocurrencies trading would have been the saving grace for the people yet it was ban. I think if not for the availability of P2P crypto trading that many people turned to, I don't think the situation will be bearable for the people.

Government cannot be a sole provider of jobs. In face government cannot create businesses to create jobs, government is not a business, it is service provider. It is the private sector which has to come forward to launch businesses and create jobs. However government needs to create favorable policy for businesses
