The evolving nature of the job sphere demands that people add more skills beyond their predominant skill to their arsenal. But how can one go about the process of re-skilling? I would share some tips on how to go about it in this post.

1) Look into in-demand areas and balance it with what excites you. Consider fields that are evolving to become hot cakes within the next 15 years. And see the one that most interests and excites you.

2) Set learning goals in the field you have chosen: Breakdown the path that it would take you to be certified in the chosen field into small achievable goals. Give timelines and action plans that you would achieve in your quest to learn these new skills.

3) Explore and take advantage of online resources relevant to that field you have chosen to learn and add as an additional skill. You can look into Coursera, Udemy and Khan Academy.

4) Set out time everyday to make a pursuit of learning something in your chosen field.

And you would just add another skill to your resume if you follow these steps.
