Why are Nigerians so successful in oversea countries but not in their country?

Almost every Nigeria on this platform will bear me witness on this claim that many Nigerians outside the countries are highly successful, well respected in every area of their specialization but here in the country herself the citizens struggle to be averagely okay. There are many talented young people I know in Nigeria now that are finding it very difficult to feed themselves but just give them the little opportunity to go out of the country, you will be amazed the kind of achievements they will make in a short time.
Can we say there are forces against people being successful in Nigeria or Nigerians just decided to be lazy in their country but get serious outside the country?

This is because the business environment needed for them to succeed is there whereas in Nigeria it is for a select few. In Western developed countries there always a reward for those who work hard and are outstanding. There this passion to do well once you know your efforts would be recognized and paid for. In Nigeria, the opposite is the case. One would work has hard as an elephant and eat like an ant. The business environment and the policies formulated doesn't favour Nigerians at all. The leaders always do what they can to frustrate the citizens.

There are many opportunities outside the country and the government there is ready to embrace talents and hardwork. But in the country, you would have to know so many people or connections before you can get things done. The opportunities in the country is snatched away by people at the top and they dominate it, it is only the crumbs that get to the average people.

Nigerians are successful when traveled overseas than in their country will not really be a true statement in my own view. Can we first compare the number of Nigerians in overseas who are successful to the ones that are not. Success is more acquired by Nigerians at home than abroad, the only challenge is that it is not been announced.

Nigerians are hard working and very creative but we are operating under unfavorable condition at home but when we get opportunity to travel out, we always make it big out there because the working conditions there is favourable. They foreigners appreciate your skills more than you certification or who you know but here in Nigeria, what matters to major employers is where you come from or who is your godfather. So how do you want us to shine under such arrangement.

It is very obvious that Nigerian are hard-working and very intelligent, the only problem they have as a people is the greed in the system been perpetrated by their leaders. Nigerians are suffering from the hands of poor leadership, and mismanagement of her resources. Infect it is really terrible, it a sad story here in Nigeria.
