Why You Need to Avoid Copyrighted Material on Your Blog

Copyrighted materials means content that you did not create or do not have rights to use it on your own. If your blog includes this kind of materials, it can face penalties. One common consequence bloggers may encounter is the removal of their content from search engine rankings. For example, your blog, previously on the first page of Google search results, could be demoted to the 10th page if you have published copyrighted content. Another penalty involves being de-indexed, which occurs when stolen content is published and the original author submits a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) claim. Being de-indexed means your site won't receive traffic from search engines, and your content won't appear in search results. Hence, it's crucial to publish only original content
