So you've built a blog, and now you want to know how your hard work is paying off.
There are three key metrics that can help you measure your blog's growth: pageviews, time on site, and bounce rate.
First, pageviews. This is the number of times your website has been loaded in a browser window. Here's how to check it out:
1. Go to Google Analytics
2. Click on "Behavior" (you can find this by clicking the menu button at the left sidebar of you dashboard (google analytics dashboard)
3. Click on "Overview"
This will show you a graph of the number of pageviews over time. You can also see this information at the bottom of the screen under "Pageviews." A higher number means that more people are visiting your site and staying for longer periods of time.
Second, time on site. Time on site shows you how long visitors spend reading your content before leaving your website. This is an important metric because it gives you an idea of whether or not people are enjoying what they read and if they're finding it valuable enough to have more time. You can find this metric by going through the same steps as above but clicking on the "Time on Site" tab instead of the "Pageviews" tab. There are other important metrics you can find and use on google analytics.
