A low self esteem will hinder your dieting efforts; have you heard of the saying "comfort eating?" It is important to feel good about yourself without being arrogant. Try to find the cause of your low opinion and set about ways to correct it. Having a balanced self esteem means accepting who you are for who you are and also accepting the point of view of others. You cannot change others but you can change and is where change begins.
