Things to Avoid as an Influencer Marketer

Recently, Kim Kardashian has been filed by Security Exchange for “illegally promoting” a crypto project. While you are free to promote anything on social media, however, you should clearly mention that it is sponsored post (if you have received cash for promoting) and also mention how much you received. Kim Kardashian mentioned that it was an ad but did not reveal how much she received for promoting the crypto project. She has been fined $1.26 million when she received just $250k for the sponsored post.

This is the biggest mistake you need to avoid as an influencer marketer. If possible, you need to avoid promoting dubious projects/products, if that is not possible, you should clearly mention that it is sponsored posts and you have received cash incentives for promotion. You should never mislead your followers.

You should only promote products and services that are genuine and promote products that are beneficial to your followers.
