The vitamin supplements provide extra antioxidants in order to combat oxidation and low energy. You might be aware that the practice of intense sports generates toxic substances called free radicals. These free radicals appear through a process called oxidative process.

This cause us greater tiredness and fatigue. The vitamin supplements provide antioxidants extras in order to combat such oxidation. Antioxidants, in particular, are responsible for counteracting its effects since they have the ability to capture free radicals avoiding their harmful action.

In addition, they have a preventive role since the presence of antioxidants in the sports diet contributes to an early recovery from post-traumatic inflammatory processes and small injuries. But really, is it necessary to take vitamin and mineral supplements?

Athletes needs vitamins especially the ABCD types. Vitamins helps them to build energy, improves cardiovascular endurance, strength through the in take of healthy food substances that provides vitamins. It serves as an antioxidants to the body. So eating what is meant for the body that produces vitamins helps prolong healthy life, and makes us agile as athletes.

Proteinous food can also help the body to repair damaged cells tissue easily and give muscle to who need it. Carbohydrate gives energy to the body, it all depends on what an individual need.
